Vicki never dreamed she’d write a cookbook one day. As a busy mother she already had more to do in a day then time allowed. So when her husband remarked, “why don’t you make a cookbook?” She was not convinced.
God had other plans though and that comment was to become the beginning of Served with Hospitality.
"As a girl I loved to try anything, exploring the world of flavors. However after feeding peanut butter spaghetti to a less-than-impressed family, I realized that some flavors do not mix." - Vicki
Her passion for this book is to focus on the important parts “that will not be taken away” (Luke 10:42) And in this way help the reader to also focus on the hearts of the people entering their homes and gathering around their tables.

Although hospitality is her passion, Vicki, does not feel like she’s mastered this art. Somedays the potatoes burn, the neighbor is not invited in and her house is less than perfect. Join Vicki in learning that true hospitality doesn’t start with a perfect house, but rather the unexpected moments.

Vicki Martin resides with her husband and family on a dairy farm in Ontario. She loves fun projects: sewing, painting, refurbishing furniture & creativity.

Publishers Note
This book was written by a mom who had wished for more help to guide her daughters through the changes of adolescence. Her desire and experience inspired to write this book. To be useful, such a book understandably needs to be frank. It is not a book for the family bookshelf.
You will want to be familiar with its contents before you decide how to make use of it. Perhaps your daughter is ready for parts of it now, but other parts you may want to save till later. Use your discretion. May God bless you with wisdom as you walk together through the changes of this season of life.
