On Mother's Day 2020, my husband gave me a handcrafted latte candle similar to the ones I make now. The gift was a cherished prize an proudly took a place in my china cupboard. I never dreamed what would materialize because of that candle!
Several years later, as I was rearranging decor, I added it to my coffee bar. After that it became a conversation starter whenever we had company. They almost always noticed it and loved it because it was so realistic.
Summer of 2024 I decided to challenge myself with making a similar candle. I figured if I could master the art I wouldn’t have trouble selling them.
I gathered supplies and attempted my very first latte candle. Sad to say, those first few candles would have never made it to a store shelf!
Disappointment and frustration with the results of my attempts drove me to hunt for higher quality wax, dyes and fragrance oils. I chose to work with natural soy wax and started purchasing fragrance oils that were certified clean ingredients. Besides researching better ingredients I also was looking for techniques on streamlining the process and ways to have consistent results with every batch. Throughout this time of failed attempts and then dedicated research I was determined to keep learning till I could make a realistic iced coffee candle.
After months of refining my techniques I ventured an ad on social media for my product. As orders came in and people expressed appreciation for them, my confidence grew and I started making bigger batches.
After the holiday rush, I found a few stores where interested in stocking my candles allowing me to keep doing what I loved!
At this point, I was making every candle in my kitchen! It wasn't ideal, but it was the only place I had! Early 2025, I bought a wax melter which sped up the double boiler on the stove method that I had used previously.
This also allowed me freedom to make them away from the stove. My husband generously helped me set up a candle making corner in our office/sewing area of the basement. This was a huge improvement to be able to make candles in another area of the house and keep the kitchen clean on candle making days!
I had found candle making to be an enjoyable creative outlet with limitless possibilities!
Rosa has also started creating seasonal candles! Her latest autumn styles (pictured below) are classic cinnamon roll and pumpkin pie scents. They smell as amazing as they look too!

Inspiration - A collection of articles by Anabaptist Ladies
These lovely books of encouragement are truly a gem! They have been very popular with our customers, so we thought we’d share the story behind the book or the inspo behind the Inspiration...

Inspiration began with the dream of sharing short articles that would give the reader new hope and encouragement for whatever she was facing at the moment. You know how it is when you sit and connect with a friend about life’s highlights and struggles. When you walk away, nothing has changed, yet you feel invigorated. What is it? God created us to need each other. Just as we feel encouraged by connecting with a friend, we can find similar inspiration through reading.
Through many contacts and questions, a team was established that consisted of four parts: sounding board, editor, designer, and writers. We decided Inspiration was a fitting title and portrayed our vision for this ministry. In 2017, our first article went out, followed by one every week since, to women across the globe. Our desire is that God can receive glory, women can be encouraged in their walk with the Lord, and relationships can be strengthened.
Over the years we received requests to put these articles in a book. That finally happened; in August 2025 our first printed edition was released. God has blessed this outreach immensely, and we received our second printing at the beginning of October 2025.
Our children help out by packaging, printing shipping labels, and helping to deliver packages to the post office.
If you order the gift option, you will likely find our oldest daughters filling out the note with their creative writing. Our son’s favorite job may be spreading packaging peanuts across the floor, much to our dismay. We are grateful for the opportunity to work together as a family in this ministry.
Inspiration’s first magazine is absolutely stunning in design, drawing your mind to God and His greatness through scenic photos and quotes from His Word. The articles are written by ordinary women who allow you a glimpse behind the scenes of their lives, where you can see the everyday heart relating to different aspects of life’s struggles.
They share with you the freedom you will find in submitting your will, living above cultural pressures, finding joy in ordinary moments, and giving your life and family to God in tangible ways. You will be encouraged in your walk with the Lord as you take a moment to sit and feast on the contents of this magazine. All glory to God who remains on the throne forever and ever.
Kenny and Kate with their 6 children, Destinee, Stephanie, Ashlyn, Kyleigh, Brynnlee, and Dakota, live in the southwest part of Tennessee. They desire to be busy in the Kingdom of God and are grateful for the many people who have had a positive influence in their lives. May His will be accomplished and His Name be glorified.
